Has your dad got a favourite place? Maybe he now lives away from his hometown, travelling to areas of nostalgia are always a great day out. Take the opportunity to learn more about your father\u2019s history and how he grew up. Get Out and See<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The National Trust has an array of amazing events going on across the UK for Father\u2019s Day. From hands-on events like wood carving and bow and arrow making to an annual rubber duck race. Head over to Dunstable Downs and go kite flying from the top of the Downs or visit Duffield Castle in Derbyshire, one of England\u2019s largest castles!<\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t fancy attending an event, or people aren\u2019t dad\u2019s thing, there are some beautiful sites to see around Nottingham. Explore Sherwood Forest, historic home of the legendary Robin Hood, or go fishing on the banks of the beautiful River Trent.<\/p>\n

Get Up and Do<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Active families probably don\u2019t want to be stuck inside over Father\u2019s Day and are likely not going to see a sit-down meal as much of a celebration either. Instead, why not head out to the park, plan a picnic and play some outdoor sports and games.
